We are excited to announce that the Petawawa Public Library is reopened to the public for in-person visits as of Tuesday, August 4.

  • We will also be resuming our regular hours  (Monday to Thursday: 10 am to 8 pm; Friday: 10 am to 6 pm; Saturday: 11 am to 4 pm).
  • Access to the library will be limited to 20 visitors at once. Limited, physically distanced seating will be available.
  • Computers will also be available for use.
  • We will resume photocopying and faxing services, exam proctoring, and Rotary Room rentals (subject to conditions).
  • We will be offering outdoor children’s programs in August. We plan to start offering limited in-person programs in September. We will continue to offer READSquared for our online summer reading program as well as take-home program kits until the end of August.
  • We will continue to quarantine materials for a minimum of 72 hours and will therefore continue with extended loan periods (2 weeks instead of 1 week for DVDs/video games/CDs and 4 weeks instead of 3 weeks for books/books on CD/DVD sets/magazines) until further notice. Please only return materials through our exterior book return.
  • If you are unable to visit us in-person but would still like to borrow physical materials, please contact us at 613-687-2227 (ext. 0) to make arrangements for receiving materials.

Enjoying online Library resources:

  • Our Online resources are still available for you to use from home. Some require your library card number and PIN. If you don’t know your PIN, contact us with your name, Library card number and home address so we can help.
